Jaguar Land Rover sales help produce £32m profits

The impressive sales of Jaguar Land Rover vehicles have helped the respected brand to post profits of £32 million after an impressive start to the year.

Jaguar Land Rover's parent company Tata Motors was even more successful with sales totalling £13.7 billion, which is compared with £10.5 billion last year.

An expert has put the success down to the company switching its sales focus from its traditional 4x4s to smaller, more affordable vehicles, which could interest those looking for sales jobs.

Professor Rhys, president of the Centre for Automotive Research at Cardiff Business School, told the Birmingham Post: "Land Rover has done incredibly well because they have changed their emphasis from the larger 4x4s – which they still make – to things like the Freelander, which are more affordable and very popular."

Kingspan Renewables has recently been able to create more than 160 jobs after the success of its manufacturing sales team helped it to secure £6.5 million of investment from Invest Northern Ireland.
